The Vicente del Bosque Football Academy is currently participating in the world’s largest event for coaches and soccer professionals. From its stand in Chicago, the academy’s management is presenting its sports project and the two internationally renowned events that will take place in Mallorca, Spain, in 2025:
Mallorca International Football Cup – Women’s Tournament Dates: April 17 to 20.

The Management of Vicente del Bosque Football Academy together with Don Vicente del Bosque presented his international events this morning at Fitur: Mallorca International Women’s Tournament , which will be held from March 28 to 31 and Mallorca International Football Cup, Vicente del Bosque, which will take place from June 20 to 25 in the municipality of Calvià, Mallorca.
The event took place at the stand of the Balearic Islands together with the President of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Marga Prohens, the President of the Consell de Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés and the Mayor of Calvià, Juan Antonio Amengual, among other authorities of the island.
From 2011 to the present, the Vicente del Bosque Football Academy has become a sports training project in values, with more than 15,500 athletes of 26 nationalities participating.
The authorities have highlighted the relevance of strategic events in the field of tourism and sports to boost the development of the island. This support is based on previous data provided by the Academy, which demonstrates the positive impact of these events on the economy and the international projection of the territory. In addition, the prominent presence of Don Vicente del Bosque as a representative image contributes significantly to strengthening the identity and attractiveness of the island in tourism and sports. More than 13,500 students of 26 nationalities over twelve editions endorse us. Vicente del Bosque Football Academy has established itself as a concept of education and physical activity that promotes sports and values such as friendship, integration and fellowship.
Today, on the first day of the Fitur Tourism Fair in Madrid, Don Vicente del Bosque presented the international events to be held by the Academy in 2023. He has done so by holding several meetings with the institutions of the Balearic Islands and the Vicente del Bosque Football Academy Management. The first edition of the Women’s Football Tournament ‘Women’s Tournament’, will take place from April 5 to 9, during Easter, and will mean a minimum of 1,500 overnight stays during 5 days for the municipality of Calvià. The event will include soccer, futsal and integration soccer for people with intellectual disabilities. The mayor of Calvià, in the meeting, has pointed out the importance of carrying out sporting events like this one, which involve integration and sporting values, and also represent quality products for the Calvià destination. Vicente del Bosque has emphasized the participation of young people with intellectual disabilities, and what it means for them in their training. On the other hand, the II edition of the Mallorca International Football Cup Tournament, Vicente del Bosque will be held from June 23 to 27 in Calvià and Palma, consolidating the event with more teams from different international markets.
This Thursday, Vicente Del Bosque, at an event held at the Santander Work Café, presented the twelfth edition of the summer camps organized by the Vicente Del Bosque Football Academy and, as a novelty, the First Edition of the Mallorca International Cup, which will be held in Mallorca from June 28 to July 2, which takes over from the local tournament Vicente Del Bosque First Mallorca Cup, which was played between 2015 and 2019.
This summer the campuses will take place in Madrid, from June 27 to July 29, in Mallorca from June 27 to August 12, in three venues, in Cádiz from July 11 to August 12, in Estepona (Málaga) from July 18 to 29 and in Calanda (Teruel) from July 11 to 15.
This presentation was attended by the Mayor of Madrid José Luis Martínez-Almeida, other authorities, sponsors and collaborators along with special guests such as Iker Casillas, Fernando Morientes, Enrique Cerezo, Juanfran Torres and José Antonio Camacho.
«The objective is not to make professional players, this is very difficult and you have to be realistic with the boys. The dream is for him to be a good kid and he can achieve that through sport”, explained Vicente Del Bosque, who added “these initiatives are positive things because the educational power of football is so fantastic that we must take advantage of it”.
On April 15, 16 and 17, the technicians of the academy together with Don Vicente Del Bosque have held four masterclass days to present the project of the Summer Campus 2022 that will be developed in the province of Cádiz from July 4 to 12 August (5 weeks).
More than 300 children and 40 young people with intellectual disabilities filled the places available to participate in the sessions held at the Rota, Guadalcacin, Torrecera and San Fernando venues. The presence of the mayors of the Town Councils of the agreement, where the summer campuses will be held, partner Clubs, local press and numerous families who accompanied the children during a weekend of sports and integration.
We especially thank all the participants, the town hall for opening their doors for us one more year and the Alcampo Supermarket for providing a snack to all the participants at the end of the day.

Last Friday, April 15, the technicians from the academy together with Don Vicente Del Bosque, held a masterclass to present the project that will be developed in Estepona from July 18 to 29.
More than 90 young people filled the available places to participate in the day at the Francisco Muñoz Pérez Stadium, which was attended by the mayor of Estepona, the local press and numerous families who accompanied the children during a magnificent morning.
We especially thank all the participants, the town hall for opening their doors for us one more year and the Alcampo Supermarket for providing a snack to all the participants at the end of the day.

Vicente del Bosque, former national coach, presented this Monday in a face-to-face event the “Vicente del Bosque Academy” by Banco Santander, where he stated the importance of “transmitting values through sport” and technical training “because without technique you cannot play”.
The coach of the combined world champion in 2010 was accompanied at the table by different political and sports personalities who attended the Work Café Santander.
The journalist Roberto Gómez was in charge of presenting an act in which the mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez Almeida; the president of Extremadura, Guillermo Fernández Vara; the president of Castilla y León, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco; the director of Commercial Banking of Banco Santander, Ángel Rivera; and the president of the academy, Pau Albertí.
All the companions showed their affection and gratitude to the figure of Vicente del Bosque for everything he meant to the world of Spanish football and for his current commitment to the sport.
Former footballer and coach Fernando Hierro assured that “his figure goes beyond sports”. “This is a small part of his legacy, we must not forget that he has been a great coach. Institutions and individuals have a responsibility to leave his legacy,” added the former national coach at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
In his speech to explain the project, Del Bosque did not miss the opportunity to thank those present for their words, but declared that this is not an act of homage to him” since they came to “present the project” which will be based in the localities of Estepona, Alalpardo and Calviá among others of the Spanish geography.
“We want to introduce them (boys and girls) to the game. Without technique it is impossible to play, we are committed to that and we will improve technically. We also have to be realistic with our youngsters and tell them that being a soccer player is practically impossible, although that does not mean don’t have dreams,” he said.
José Luis Martínez Almeida, mayor of Madrid, highlighted the importance of the figure of Vicente del Bosque in Madrid as “creator of `La Fábrica´” and in Spain as a “meeting point for citizens”: “You are a mirror in which look at us”.
“This is going to be a success, Vicente. You could make a campus of politicians so that we behave,” joked the mayor.
The Mallorca Integra Foundation and Vicente del Bosque Football Academy sign a collaboration agreement to promote the participation of young people with functional diversity in the academy’s programs and the 1st edition of the Mallorca International Football Cup.
Next June 28 to July 2, 2022, the 1st edition of the Mallorca International FootballCup will be held in Mallorca by the professionals of Vicente del Bosque Football Academy.
In order to make this edition not only a sports and tourist event but also an integrating and benchmark event, an agreement has been reached between both entities to promote the participation of young people with functional diversity belonging to the schools of the Mallorca Integra Foundation in this inclusive and sporting event.
Thanks to this agreement, some 80 young people will be able to enjoy and participate in this first edition and live first-hand an unprecedented sports experience.
In addition, the young people of the Foundation will be able to enjoy the Sports Scholarships that the Vicente Del Bosque Academy will offer for the campus that takes place every summer in Mallorca.
The team of the organization of the Vicente Del Bosque Academy, as well as that of the Foundation, will join forces to make this sporting and inclusive experience unforgettable for all these young athletes with functional diversity.

We are proud to announce the collaboration agreement of Vicente Del Bosque Football Academy with Palma Futsal to organize the Futsal modality in the Mallorca International Football Cup tournament.
José Tirado, Sports Director of Palma Futsal on behalf of the club and Pau Albertí, Director of Vicente Del Bosque Football Academy have signed the agreement for this new initiative.
Palma Futsal is the reference futsal club in the Balearic Islands and also of the National Futsal League (LNFS) considered the best league in the world.
In addition to being a professional club, also the training vocation, commitment to the quarry and making this sports and social project even bigger with the greatest value of educating children in sports that is closely linked to the philosophy of de the sports training in values of the Vicente Del Bosque Academy.
